Team BlackDragonSec

Team BlackDragonSec is an India-origin hacktivist collective active in the regional retaliation ecosystem that connects Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indonesian and Maldivian cyber disputes. Public reporting most consistently associates the group with website defacement, traffic-flooding/DDoS claims and data-leak messaging.

The actor’s public role appears coalition-oriented. It has been reported alongside Team NWH Security, Team UCC, Team Network Nine, Indian Cyber Force and Indian Cyber Mafia, and it amplifies partner operations through social channels. These relationships support ecosystem mapping but do not prove shared infrastructure, access or tooling.

Public chronology is inconsistent. A defacement archive contains a Blackdragonsec-tagged record from October 2022, whereas CYFIRMA places group creation in January 2023. Resecurity has also listed “Black Dragon Sec” and “Team Blackdragonsec” separately. The profile therefore uses the exact Team BlackDragonSec/BlackDragonSec identity and treats generic “Black Dragon” references cautiously.

Current risk is lower than peak 2023–2024 visibility. A 2025 industry assessment categorized Black Dragon as low risk, and a 2026 channel directory marked the Team BlackDragonSec Telegram surface expired. The group remains relevant as a reusable brand or coalition node even if the original core has reduced activity.
