Evilroot SecTeam is an emerging web-defacement identity with a newly observable public artifact dated July 2026. A compromised Indonesian news page displayed the wording “This site hacked by EvilRoot SecTeam” and used the notifier label “viruse.” The artifact establishes brand use and an external defacement outcome, but it does not yet resolve membership, motive, infrastructure or access method.

This assessment distinguishes observed identity and content from unverified claims. Coalition mentions, greetz and shared campaign tags are treated as relationship indicators rather than proof of shared infrastructure, command or technical capability.
